    Thanks for the OVA. Also what’s the difference between Hi444p and Hi10p other than file size?

      Hi444pp = 4:4:4 Chroma
      Hi10p = 4:2:0 Chroma

    Thanks for Yamato 2199, just finished it. I noticed you haven’t released a final batch for that series. I’m not sure if you intend to, but if you do and still have the BD source, I recommend you make the following revisions.

    Episodes 1-13
    1) Timing is pretty bad
    2) There is a lot of banding and haloing (got somewhat fixed for eps 14+)
    3) Overlapping subs (when 2 people talked at the same time, instead of it being top and bottom of the screen, it was right on top of the 1st sub, creating a wall of 3-5 lines at the bottom of the screen)
    4) Fading (it really bothered me how for Kanji that appeared on the screen, the subs would just abruptly appear or disappear when the Kanji had a .5 or .85 fading effect)
    5) Typesetting (it would just appear at the bottom of the screen overlapping with the main subs)

    Episodes 14+
    1) Timing (not as bad as episodes 1-13)

    Since I just finished watching this series, I won’t see these changes, but hopefully for those in the future getting your version of Yamato 2199 can see the improvements.

      I’m aware of the problems, but thanks for the list. This is the first thing i started subbing, and i had no idea what i was doing, so it was a learning curb lol.

      I will be V2ing it.

    Yeah I figured. I also like to mention that the subbing style wasn’t consistent through out the series.

    Since you’re aware of some of the issues, this might be redundant, but I’d like to throw in these additional corrections

    1) Move the vertical up for the subs
    2) Increase the font size a bit (this is opinionated, so you might like it where its at, which is cool)
    3) Signs (I think they’re defaulted to Arial font)
    4) Typos (eps 1-13 had the most of ’em)
    5) Unsubbed lines (there were a few portions of this series that didnt get subbed or timed correctly, that left a few lines untranslated)

    Anyways, I’ll stop bothering you with fixes as you’re probably aware of what needs to be fixed, but thanks again for providing this solid series to us all.

      I do appreciate feedback, so it’s not a bother whatsoever, in fact it lets me pinpoint the core features of the release that need fixing the most, so thanks 🙂
